In a flurry of inspiration I wrote a song today. Its a little rough around the edges, mostly because im playing all 3 parts of the song, and because i recorded all of this in windows sound recorder. Here's the link:

its difficult to describe. i dont want to do anything; at all. it takes all of my strength to just get out of bed.

maybe its about time school started. ventura is lonely. i mean, im on aim all day and hardly anyone messages me. barely any of my friends sign on anymore, and i suspect that some may have blocked me. its like they'll only talk to me if i say hi first, or if they need to ask me something. i check myspace, facebook and lj multiple times everyday, and i dont even know why anymore. i mean, its not like anyone is going to comment or anything. i mean shit, i havent even gotten out of my pj's ive had no fucking reason too. who'd call me me? whatever.

i feel absolutely violated. i already checked my ass for blood, im okay there. but seriously, superman was one of the worst movies ive seen in a while. when i first saw the preview in theatres a while back, i thought to myself "oh man! this is gonna be sweet!" sadly, i was terribly mistaken.
:::::What Did This Movie Do Right?:::::
naturally, there were some respectable aspects to this film. the actor they chose for superman was perfect. his acting was strong, and he sure as hell looked the part. i felt he portrayed superman and clark's characters both well and properly. i would have to say that lois' husband richard did a solid job too. furthermore, some of the cinematography was quite good. the way they used music and silence together with the video made for powerful scenes on a number of occasions. plus, the special effects were damn fine.
:::::Where Did This Movie Go Wrong?:::::
just about everywhere else. there are scenes in this movie that are so bad it is laughable. there is one scene where a model city is being destroyed, and they shot it as if it were a real city and added sound effects for the dolls crying out as they fell to the table. i sat there in my seat stunned. stunned at the utter stupidity, absurdity, and comedy of the scene that was before me. but this wasnt the only scene that...well.. sucked. theres another scene where lois and her son are being watched by a particularly mean guard. lois tells her son to go play the piano to lessen the stress of the situation, and he does. and then the guard goes and joins him for a duet. no fucking joke. that actually fucking happens. there are some ridiculous feats superman undergoes, which i cant really list without ruining the story. he does things that would require so much strength, break so many laws of physics, that.. that it is just ludicrus. i mean sure, hes superman, but cmon! whats worse, is that this movie was painfully repetitive. let me guide you through pratically every scene in this horrid mistake. something bad happens. cue music stop. cue close ups of objects like pencils vibrating on tables. cue close ups of idiots looking scared. cue superman coming in at the last second making the entire drama not matter at all. thats basically the entire movie right there.

6/10 and i think im being generous here. if you really want to see this movie, wait for it to come out on dvd. there is essentially no reason to see this in theatres.
i apologize for this review. its not very detailed, but im a little to angry to write anything better at the moment.

this bird is similar to the mocking bird, in that it mimic's the calls of birds around it. but, amazingly, this birds vocal chords are so complex it can mimic other sounds as well. its insane, you have to see it!

so i talked to angela tonight for the first time in a while. shes been on vacation with her family at big bear. i was sort of excited when she IM'd me, i missed talking to her, something we do alot. but she came on to tell me that she just wanted to be friends.
she was very blunt, but im glad that she was honest with me, and that I have met her. shes a really cool girl and a joy to talk to.
